Wallaceburg Woman Charged With Forcible Confinement

Serious charges have been laid against a Wallaceburg woman.

Chatham-Kent Police say a woman was arrested back in October for allegedly assaulting her then boyfriend. She was released with various conditions, including not being in contact with the victim.

Saturday night, officers responded to a home on Queen Street, where the two were found.

Authorities say the man tried to leave after an argument broke out, but the woman allegedly blocked the door and then grabbed the victim’s sweater to keep him from walking away, causing him to lose his balance.

The 28-year-old woman has been charged with forcible confinement, assault, and failure to comply with an undertaking.

She was held in custody for a bail hearing.
