Wallaceburg’s Joe Perry One Of World’s Toughest Mudders

A Wallaceburg native is one Tough Mudder.

Joe Perry is taking part in the annual world Tough Mudder competition in Las Vegas this weekend.

He says despite what you may think about the warm desert weather, Vegas at night in November can be quite cold.

Perry says, “The last two years, it was colder here than in November in New Jersey. It just blew our minds. Because once the sun goes down here in the desert and the wind picks up, that water that we get in is cold, and that wind eats you/ We were in a sand storm two years ago and there was no visibility, and there were hardly any people left on the course.”

Perry expects close to 15-hundred people from across the globe will be taking part in today’s competition.

He’s hoping to reach at least the 75 mile mark of the course this year.
