Charges have been laid following a shoplifting incident in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a retail store on Warwick Drive around 10 o’clock Wednesday morning.
Officers at the scene learned that a man had concealed several items and attempted to leave the store without paying.
As a result, a 37-year-old Walpole Island man has been arrested and charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000. He was later released from custody with conditions and a future court date.
