Walpole Island is calling in reinforcements as it continues to fight a drug problem on the First Nation territory.
Officials declared a state of emergency last month over illicit drug use and overdoses and has set up border checks on the bridge entering the community.
Now, Walpole Island Police have called in the OPP for further assistance, and are asking residents to call with any information about drug use or drug dealing.
Police Chief Chad Jacobs is urging people to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8377,) Walpole Island Police Service at 519-627-6011, or Lambton OPP at 1-519-882-1011.
