The 30th annual WAMBO festivities are being hailed a great success, possibly the biggest event ever.
Chair Bill Wolsing says he’s thrilled to have seen so many people in downtown Wallaceburg.
“It’s the weather, you know, there’s a lot of car buffs that wouldn’t come out here unless it was nice weather, and same with the boaters,” Wolsing says. “The smiling faces, happy kids, we received a ton of compliments and it’s humbling.”
Wolsing estimates as many as 20,000 people crowded the downtown core over the weekend, taking in live entertainment, classic cars, antique boats, the cardboard boat races, and a host of other activities.
