Applications are now being accepted for this year’s WAMBO Youth Ambassador Program.
The bursary award was first handed out last year to one male and one female graduating student from WDSS heading to college or university.
However, organizers have expanded the scholarship to all Chatham-Kent high schools.
One male and one female student will be chosen for the $1500 award – the winners will then be responsible for helping to promote WAMBO, including media appearances and around the community.
Application forms can be found online at wambo.ca. Entries must include a resume and an 700-1000 word essay on the importance of volunteering.
The deadline to apply is noon on June 3rd – applications can be emailed to ambassador@wambo.ca.
