Organizer Constable Jason Herder says participants will dip into some cold water on January 19, all in support of Special Olympics Ontario.
“Last year we set a goal of $10,000 raised for special Olympics Ontario and we exceeded that and raised $14,400 so this year we set a goal of $20,000 and we’re just about half way there for sponsor and online donations. So we’re still waiting to see the offline donations because each plunger can raise money online or offline with pledge sheets,” says Herder. “Registration fee has been lowered to $40 or raise $100 and your fee is waived. The plunge times are 2pm and 6pm on the 19th of January with a charity BBQ between the two plunges.”
