War Amp Tags Go Out

war-ampsChatham-Kent residents will notice something special in their mail this week.

War Amps has started mailing out its 2017 key tags.

Spokesperson Jamie Lunn says since the program started over 70 years ago, nearly 1.5 million sets of keys have been returned to homes across Canada.

“When you receive your free key tags in the mail and attach it to your keys it acts as a safe guard,” says Lunn. “So if you ever lose your keys the person that finds them can drop them in any Canada Post mailbox or call  the 1-800 number and they can be returned to you.”

Lunn says that while there is no set cost for the tags, donations to the War Amps program are always appreciated – proceeds help to support amputees and people with disabilities across the country.
