Warm Fall Weather Could End Soon

November should see a return to seasonal temperatures across Chatham-Kent.

That’s according to Environment Canada Meteorologist Geoff Coulson who by the end of the month, highs will be around the freezing mark.

“Something we are going to be keeping a close eye on is because the Great Lakes are running so much warmer than normal,  when we do first start to see those very cold arctic air masses coming down, that could set up ideal conditions for strong lake effect or snow squall activity coming inland from Lake Huron. If those bands of snow line up from winds coming right out of the north, that type of activity can impact the Chatham-Kent area.” – Geoff Coulson, Environment Canada

October was 1 degree warmer than normal with half as much rain as usual.
