Warning Light Coming to Ridgetown

A busy Southeast Kent intersection is getting an LED warning beacon installed.

Kent Bridge Road and Ridge Line has seen 60 collisions since 2002, five of which took place this past summer alone.

The municipality has agreed to install a warning light to alert drivers to use caution at the intersection.

Councillor David VanDamme says it’s long overdue. “This has been years in the making and a lot of others have tried before me,” he says. “This is just an indication of how persistence pays off.”

The new light should be installed by the end of the year.
