A court decision this week prevents anyone from obstructing or impeding access to any North Kent construction areas.
Water Wells First Spokesman Kevin Jakubec says the group has agreed to leave.
“We’ve agreed to remove the blockade. North Kent Wind will not be able to construct on the site that we were blockading on Bush Line until it goes back for a decision”, explains Jakubec
He says going back to court on September 28th to face the injunction is a step forward for their cause.
“We look forward to this court date. Then we’ll have the chance to really put the facts before the court. We’re not at all concerned about the technical memorandum that North Kent Wind relies upon We look forward to having our day in court”, says Jakubec.
While North Kent Wind says it has received seven complaints about water well quality since construction began, Jakubec says they’ve now spoken to 12 families who are dealing with contaminated water.
