A brand new Wallaceburg District Secondary School is being shown off to parents and families of students today.
The building has gone through a substantial renovation to the library and shop rooms, and Principal Murray Hunt says the breadth of changes are quite extraordinary.
“Wherever they go they can get WiFi, they can get the internet, they can get Google Classroom, and any of the tech apps that tech teachers are using,” Hunt says. “In our learning commons, our library area, we have a projector so those can work right off of the iPads as well as TVS so students who are working on a project can project right up onto the TV screen.”
There’s also a new fitness centre in two of the old shop rooms.
Tonight’s open house starts at 5 o’clock.
