Mischief and weapons charges have been laid against a Wallaceburg man. 
Chatham-Kent Police say the accused went to a home on Margaret Avenue yesterday afternoon, smashed a window, then threatened a resident and tried to hit him with a metal bar.
The suspect fled before police arrived, but was found and arrested a short time later.
The 35-year-old has been charged with mischief, uttering threats, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assault with a weapon.
