West Nile has made its way to Chatham-Kent.
Chatham-Kent Health officials say mosquitoes in a trap in the Tilbury area tested positive for the virus.
West Nile Virus is transmitted to people through the bite of an infected mosquito.
Often people don’t know they have the disease and show no symptoms.
The best protection is to wear long sleeve shirts and pants, use insect repellent and stay indoors.
