With this week’s wind storm and news of a new bluff failure in Port Alma fresh in their minds, Chatham-Kent councillors will discuss what to do about the Talbot Trail closure.
At Monday’s meeting, council will discuss a number of options, including two short-term projects that would allow the reopening of the road for 5-12 years, with costs ranging from $2-4-million.
The other project open to consideration is widening and paving Concession 2 as a more permanent option. That comes with a $3.2-million price tag.
A section of the road just outside Wheatley has been closed for almost six months over erosion concerns.
