A fire in Wheatley has claimed the life of a family dog.
Emergency crews from Wheatley and Tilbury were called to the scene of the blaze at a home on Erie Street South Wednesday afternoon.
Total damage is pegged at a quarter of a million dollars, the Ontario Fire Marshall has been called to investigate the cause.
