Will March be a Lion or Lamb?

Don’t pack away the winter coats and snow shovels quite yet – winter still has some bite left in it. snowy-road

Environment Canada meteorologist Geoff Coulson says the coming month is expected to be much more seasonal.

“We do know that as we head into the month of March, our normal daytime highs and lows will be getting milder,” Coulson says. “Right now a normal daytime high is +2 and the overnight low is -6, and as we move further into March the same temperatures will be normal, which could still imply daytime highs in the single digits and overnight lows just below the freezing mark.”

Coulson it’s still to early to say whether we’ll see an early spring with the potential for below normal days in the mix.

In the meantime, this month is on track to be the warmest February on record in Chatham-Kent, depending on how this weekend plays out.
