The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation raises funds and awareness for Chatham-Kent Hospice to help families live the important experiences of end of life.
Hospice care focuses on comfort, quality of life, and supporting the precious moment’s families will share with their loved one during their final days together. It is not as much about dying as it is about living – living each day and each moment to the fullest. We are there to help our residents live each day with dignity and honour by providing compassionate, end- of-life care in a home-like setting.
Supporting Hospice residents and their families includes caring for their body, mind and spirit. While a resident’s medical needs are met through the care provided by our clinical staff, our Supportive Care team supports the emotional well –being of the resident and their family.
The restrictions associated with COVID-19 have made an already difficult time even more challenging for those facing end-of-life. Your support are provides local families, like yours, a peaceful environment to say goodbye that includes welcoming, friendly faces, personalized care, and home-cooked meals.
The Children’s Treatment Centre Foundation of Chatham-Kent, works to raise community awareness and funds for the Children’s Treatment Centre. Funds raised by the Foundation are vitally important to support ongoing operations of the Children’s Treatment Centre.
For over 70 years, the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent has provided specialized therapy and innovative programs to empower children, youth and their families to reach their individual potential. These services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, autism services, audiology, social work, respite, music therapy, and a variety of adapted recreational programs.
COVID-19 has proven to be challenging, even more so with having a child at home with specialized needs. It is critical that our kids continue to receive assessment and treatment and the best care possible when they need it most. Your support means families continue to receive connection, comfort and support by accessing these services.
Every child deserves the opportunity to reach his/her full potential, and that is what we strive for every day the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent.
