A local parent has been announced the winner of a recent raffle supporting the St. Clair Catholic Education Foundation.
Tanya Franssen was announced as the grand prize winner of the Foundation’s Spring Blessings 50/50 Raffle, taking home $26,460, half of a record-breaking $52,920 jackpot.
Franssen says she decided to purchase a ticket to support Ursuline College Chatham, where her daughter attends school. Tanya plans to put her winnings towards her daughter’s post-secondary education and celebrate with a nice family dinner.
Proceeds from the fundraiser support enhanced learning experiences and provide students within the St. Clair Catholic District School Board with essential resources.
Officials with the St. Clair Catholic Education Foundation are already planning for the Back-to-School raffle, launching in mid-July.
