The life-changing $126,840 winning ticket has been drawn for the 2022 Igniting Healthcare 50/50 FUNdraiser.
The winning ticket number was drawn on Wednesday at Maple City Homes’ new location on St Clair Street in Chatham.
This year’s campaign raised a total of $253,680, marking the fourth year that the Igniting Healthcare 50/50 jackpot has exceeded $100,000.
Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation President and CEO Mary Lou Crowley said the draw serves as a win for the whole community.
“We are so incredibly grateful to our community for their unwavering commitment to healthcare in Chatham-Kent,” said Crowley in a media release. “For four consecutive years, we have called on them for support, and every year they come through and help us raise a staggering amount of money for our local hospital sites. We’re so excited for our lucky jackpot winner to come forward, but I truly believe that everyone in Chatham-Kent is a winner today.”
Proceeds from this year’s 50/50 will support the purchase of two new Pulmonary Function Test units that were determined as a high priority for CKHA’s Chatham and Wallaceburg sites.
The lucky winner of ticket 7036243 is asked to stop by the foundation office at 9 Ursuline Avenue or call at (519)436-2538.
Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out on any CKHAF platform for more information about this year’s winner.
