Wire, Copper Pipe Stolen in Wallaceburg

Police have arrested one suspect and are searching for another after a break-in in Wallaceburg.

Thursday morning, Chatham-Kent Police were called to a Nelson Street property that is undergoing some renovations.

Authorities say close to $2700 worth of wire and copper pipe had been removed from the building.

Two suspects were identified and some of the stolen property located.

A 56-year-old woman was arrested for possession of stolen property and later released with a date in court next month.

Police have requested a warrant for the arrest of a second suspect.
