Wish Tree Supports Heart Health

The Christmas spirit was alive and well in Wallaceburg last night with the annual Health Alliance Christmas Wish Tree lighting ceremony.

Foundation Executive Director Mary Lou Crowley says it’s a wonderful way to honour loved ones and help support a worthy cause.

“This year, the Christmas Wish Tree appeal has been very successful with people throughout all corners of Chatham-Kent supporting,” Crowley says. “The appeal symbolizes how people want to remember those individuals who aren’t here with us, but are in spirit.”

Proceeds from this year’s fundraiser support heart health with the purchase of a transport defibrillator and a portable Holter monitor.

Donations can be made online until the end of January.

Thursday night’s lighting ceremony at the Wallaceburg Site of the CKHA included carolers and horse and wagon rides. A similar event took place outside the Chatham Site earlier this week.
