Charges have been laid after an argument between a man and a woman turned violent in Tilbury.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a domestic dispute at an unspecified location on January 3 at around 2:30 p.m.
Authorities learned that a 27-year-old Tilbury man had been assaulted by a woman during an argument and was held against his will.
As a result, a warrant was issued for the arrest of a 32-year-old Tilbury woman, who was located and arrested at a residence on Monday at around 1 p.m.
She is now charged with assault and forcible confinement and was later released from custody with conditions and a February court date.
