The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers were called to a retail store on Wellington Street West at around noon on January 19, after a woman concealed several items and left without making an attempt to pay.
Following an investigation, officers identified a suspect and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
The 33-year-old Chatham woman was located on Grand Avenue West at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. She was arrested and is now charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of stolen property under $5,000.
The accused was remanded into custody pending her next court appearance.
