A Chatham woman has been charged after another woman was assaulted inside her home.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a disturbance at a residence on Churchill Park Road in Chatham on Saturday at around 3:30 a.m.
Officers learned that an intoxicated woman had entered the home without permission and assaulted another woman.
The suspect, a 28-year-old Chatham woman, was arrested outside the residence and is now charged with assault and unlawfully being in a dwelling. She was later released with a future court date.
