
Charges have been laid after a woman was choked during an argument in Wallaceburg.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a report of an assault at a residence shortly after 3 a.m. on Wednesday.
Following an investigation, authorities learned that a 61-year-old Wallaceburg woman had been assaulted and choked by a man, causing multiple injuries that required medical attention.
As a result, a 63-year-old Wallaceburg man was arrested and is now charged with two counts of assault causing bodily harm. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
