A Chatham man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting a woman and a police officer.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to a disturbance on St. Clair Street in Chatham at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, after a fight took place between a man and a woman.
Following an investigation, officers attempted to arrest a 41-year-old man, however, he allegedly resisted and assaulted an officer.
The accused is now charged with assault, resisting a peace officer, and assaulting a peace officer. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
