For the second time in the past week, an arrest has been made in connection with an unprovoked attack.
Chatham-Kent Police responded to North Street in Dresden shortly before midnight last Thursday and say two women who did not know each other, were passing on the street when the suspect slapped the 17-year-old victim in the face.
Authorities say while the teen suffered minor injuries, no medical attention was required.
The 34-year-old accused was located and arrested a short time later and has since been charged with one count of assault.
She was taken to police headquarters and held for a bail hearing.
A 19-year-old is facing charges following a similar incident in downtown Chatham last Tuesday.
