A would-be thief was arrested over the long weekend after being caught in the act.
A London Road business owner called Chatham-Kent Police around 2 o’clock Saturday morning saying they were watching surveillance footage remotely and could see people actively breaking into the property.
Officers arrived at the scene and found one man inside the building.
A 43-year-old from Chatham was arrested and charged with break and enter and possession of a controlled substance. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
