Water Wells First activists are in Toronto this morning to continue pressing the Liberal government to launch a health hazard investigation into contaminated wells in Chatham-Kent.
Essex MPP Taras Natyshak be on hand, along with local families and representatives from the Council of Canadians.
Meantime, Water Wells Spokesman Kevin Jakubec says researchers from the University of Windsor’s geology department have announced they plan on launching a study into the link between wind turbines and increased sediment in nearby wells.
“The government, if they wish to continue to hide this and wish to try to cover this up are going to find that is impossible now,” Jakubec says.
Jakubec says various academics have refuted the Golder Report study on turbine vibrations, which Pattern Energy has relied upon for its North Kent Wind 1 project.
