Chatham-Kent Police say a young man has been charged with second degree murder following the death of another youth in Chatham.
Emergency crews responded to a disturbance on Richmond Street around 10:45pm on Friday night.
Another youth was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital, however despite life-saving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead.
A suspect was identified and charged with second degree murder, and was remanded into custody with a future court date. Authorities say because of the age of the parties involved, no further details will be released.
Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no concern for public safety.
