A 54-year-old Chatham woman is facing an assault charge after police say she attacked another woman with a hammer.
Chatham-Kent police responded to a call around 11 Friday night on Orchard Heights when they got a call about a disturbance involving two women. Police say the one woman attempted to attack the other with the hammer but the victim did not suffer any injuries.
The 54 year old has been charged with assault with a weapon and released with a future court date.
