Dedication to accessibility is being celebrated in Wallaceburg today, as the Chatham-Kent Accessibility Advisory Committee hands out its annual awards. 

Daniel Whittal and Rachel Schwarz are the recipients of the Sheila Lindsey-Powers Accessibility Advocate Award this year for their dedication to people of all abilities through programs offered at the Brio Academy.

The Oaks Retirement Village in Wallaceburg is receiving the Dr. Veronica Vaughan Most Accessible Business Award for their exceptional customer service to people of all abilities.

And Ashley Gialelem will be presented with the Sid Ebare Perseverance Award for her steady persistence in living beyond limitations.

The annual awards presentation is taking place at The Oaks this afternoon.
