Thames River flooding, February 2009.ood

Warm temps and heavy rains are conspiring to bring flooding to southwestern Ontario.

The LTVCA says the Thames River will rise and is expected to reach levels not seen in a decade.

Peak levels will hit London late Wednesday and will reach Thamesville and Chatham late Friday or early Saturday.

Meantime, The St. Clair Region Conservation Authority is expecting ice jams to cause minor flooding, with high water expected to stay at peak into Friday.
