Council to Debate Four Counties Support

East Kent Councillor David VanDamme wants to help out nearby Four Counties Health Services in Newbury. 

VanDamme wants to see $100,000 spread out over five years to help purchase a new endoscopy system.

Earlier this year, officials from Newbury approached Chatham-Kent Council, asking for support, saying 40% of visits to the health care facility come from Chatham-Kent residents.

VanDamme’s motion would see money come from the municipality’s Strategic Development Reserve.
