Changes are coming to the Sydenham Campus but not all at once. sydenham-campus-wallaceburg-1-300x225

Chatham-Kent Health Alliance CEO Lori Marshall says they’re going to so it in steps:

“A series of smaller projects over a number of years that will help us to move ahead,” Marshall explains, “and to be able to really create the facilities and keep up with the technology and the equipment needs and those sorts of things.”

The top priority for Wallaceburg’s hospital is the mechanical components, like the boiler room, electrical, and heating and cooling system.

“We recognize that the facilities that are there were built for a large facility,” Marshall says. “They’re old, they’re not very efficient, and if we’re going to make some changes to that building, eventually adding on some programs, then we really need a new and revised power plant.”

Marshall says new services and programs will be added to the Sydenham Campus over the next few years.
