Orange Shirt Day is being celebrated at schools across Canada this week, raising awareness about the harm caused to children in residential schools. 
Lambton Kent Composite School student organizer Katelyn Law says they’re celebrating a bit early locally.
“The original day is on the 30th of September,” Law says, “But as that’s a PD Day, we’re doing it on Wednesday so that we’re all there.
Orange t-shirts have been ordered for staff and students who wish to purchase them, but any orange shirt can be worn.
