Sarah Smith is one of the hardest working people in music.

After years on the road fronting Canadian rock band The Joys, Sarah went solo in 2012 with her album Stronger Now. Produced by Grammy and Juno winning producer Kevin Doyle (Alannah Myles, Anne Murray), the record showcases Sarah’s powerful voice and introspective pop/rock songwriting. Songs like the uplifting ‘Shine Bright’ and emotional ‘Stronger Now’ have won over audiences everywhere during Sarah’s relentless tours of North America and Europe.

Sarah’s second CD, The Journey, was produced in Germany by renowned producer Pat Anthony in 2014. The album is indeed a journey – a trip through life’s trials and triumphs, delivered with Sarah’s optimism, heart, and insight. Music from The Journey has been featured on shows including CBC’s Cracked and the movie Anatomy of a Love Seen, directed by L.A-based director Marina Rice Bader.

Sarah continues to tour almost year-round. Whether it’s just her and her acoustic guitar or her full band, she is a mesmerizing performer. The 2015 DVD Sarah Smith: Plugged and Unplugged captures Sarah and her band at their absolute best, both live and in the studio. Watch her and you can’t help smiling – her music is her gift, and she lives to share it with the world!
