Over 150 High School students from across Chatham-Kent took part in Manufacturing Day and its being hailed as a great success.

The day was organized by The Lambton Kent District School Board and St. Clair Catholic district school Board in collaboration with the municipality and the province.

It was designed to show the students how manufacturing plays an important role in the global economy, and to introduce them to roles in the industry.

There are over 180 manufacturers in Chatham-Kent and they provide high end jobs to skilled workers.

That also drives home the importance of a good education through STEM.

That is short for science, technology, engineering, and math and has become the standard in education.

It also plays a vital role in these industry-school partnerships.
