When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
That’s been a literal motto for Chatham’s Raelyn Drew over the past year, as the 10-year-old has raised more than $2,000 PLUS food donations for the Salvation Army food bank.
Now unable to hand over her lemonade, Raelyn is turning her attention directly to the food bank.
In the new COVID-19 landscape, that motto has changed a little bit.
#WhenLifeHandsYouLemonsYouChangeTheWorld
Drew has organized a physical-distancing-friendly food drive for the local cause.
Donations can be dropped off into bins at the Drew house hold OR they can pick up your donations, preferably from your porch or out front of your home.
Food and monetary donations are both accepted. Donations can be dropped off to 40 Tasan Crescent in Chatham. E-transfers can be sent to jenlynndrew@gmail.com
This will be Raelyn’s sixth fundraiser. All donations go directly to the local Salvation Army food bank.
Due to her community leadership, Raelyn has also been named an honourary member of the local Chatham-Kent HOGS. (Harley Owners Group).
Raelyn says there will unfortunately be no lemonade this time around, but she IS supplying ginormous air high-fives!
