Local fire fighters made quick work of a fire spreading across a wheat field east of Tilbury.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services crews from Station 19 Tilbury and Station 17 Merlin were called to a McKinlay Road property shortly before 4:30 Wednesday afternoon.
Less than 20 minutes later, the flames were doused with no injuries or property damage reported.
Officials say about 100 bushels of wheat were lost in the blaze.
