Members of 100 Men Who Care Chatham-Kent present a cheque to Kate Do Forno, Executive Director of Chatham-Kent Victim Services.

A local organization is helping area residents in their time of need.

At their most recent meeting, 100 Men Who Care nominated Chatham-Kent Victim Services as their charity of choice and this past Friday, handed over a cheque for $10,700.

At each meeting, three members of the group are chosen to present the case of a local charity to assist. The group then votes on who to donate funds to, with each member donating $100 to the cause.

Victim Services provides immediate emotional support, practical assistance, and community service referrals to those impacted by crime, tragedy, trauma, and disaster.

The 100 Men who Care will hold their next meeting on Thursday, July 27th at the Links of Kent.
