A local men’s group is supporting Ontarians with intellectual disabilities through sports.

The group 100 Men Who Care voted on Thursday to donate to Special Olympics Ontario.

The organization was chosen by the group’s members as their charity of choice during a meeting last week. Each member will contribute $100 to the cause for a donation of $10,000.

Chatham-Kent will be playing host to the Ontario School Championship Games in June, welcoming over 1200 athletes with diverse abilities to the community.

The successful nomination at the 100 Men Who Care meeting was put forward by Mike Pearce.
