A complaint about a driver on the 401 near Chatham has landed a Cambridge man with charges.
Provincial Police received a report from a good Samaritan Friday afternoon and found the suspect vehicle heading westbound just before the Communication Road exit.
While speaking with the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment and administered a roadside breath test.
Authorities say the driver performed poorly, was taken into custody, and handed over to Chatham-Kent Police for more testing.
The 30-year-old accused has now been charged with driving while impaired by alcohol and drugs and driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. The man was also issued a 90 day license suspension and had his vehicle impounded for seven days.
