Wedding bells are ringing across Chatham-Kent, with one local organization reaping the benefits.
Nan Stuckey, Executive Director with Big Brothers Big Sisters says the 15th annual Chatham-Kent Wedding Show drew between 250 and 300 people.
“It is a fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters, even though it’s a wedding trade show,” Stuckey says. “All of the proceeds go to our kids’ mentoring programs in Chatham-Kent.”
Close to 90 vendors took part in Saturday’s event, which also included a fashion show.
Stuckey says they have more events planned to support the organization, including the annual Bowl For Kids’ Sake in March.
