The number of patients battling COVID in hospital has gone up to 17. CKHA stats show 11 of those patients are from Chatham-Kent, while six are from out of town.

There are three COVID-positive patients in the ICU and one on a ventilator.

As far as hospital capacity goes, the ICU is still sitting at 90% occupancy, while the medical, surgical and critical care beds are just over 87% full.

Public Health figures show there are now four positive cases associated with the COVID outbreak in the Chatham hospital’s medicine unit.

Overall, the health unit is reporting three more confirmed cases in the municipality today and two recoveries, bringing the total active caseload to 36.
