18 More COVID Infections, But Active Case Count Dips

Another dip in Chatham-Kent’s overall COVID numbers today.

Public Health’s daily report includes 18 new infections and 25 cases resolved, lowering the active caseload to 144.

There are nine outbreaks across the municipality, including seven elementary schools, 18 cases now linked to a recent wedding, and 15 at a manufacturing plant.

Twelve local residents are being treated for COVID-19 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

Across Ontario, 1808 new infections are being reported today, the highest single-day case count in months.
