Multiple Grammy winner and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Carlos Santana and his Latin rock band Santana will perform once again on the Colosseum stage on Saturday, April 23 at 9 pm.
For 40 years Santana has sold more than 100 million records and has entertained audiences with their fusion of rock and Latin American music. Among their honours, Santana is only one of two music acts in Billboard history to score a Top 10 album for six consecutive decades since the 1960s and Carlos Santana has been ranked 15thon Rolling Stone’s list of the “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”. The sound of Carlos Santana’s guitar is unmistakable on top 10 hits such as “Evil Ways”, “Oye Como Va”, and “Black Magic Woman”. As one of the pioneers to fuse rock with Latin American music, Santana is the original guitar hero.
Santana’s recent solo album, Corazón, included duets with A-list vocalists and musicians from the world of Latin music with Gloria Estefan, Juanes, Pitbull, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, and Lila Downs.
