Parents in the Lambton Kent School District are getting fed up with their schools being closed or merged.
Parents showed up in Chatham last night to voice their concerns over the closing of Sarnia Collegiate and Technical School (SCITS) . The school is to be merged with St. Clair and that would close SCITS.
Many believe that would be the gutting of the south end of Sarnia. Sarnia Council have asked for a report as to the effect the closure will have on area business. With no students they feel many business will suffer, perhaps even close.
That is just battle that the School Board will have to deal with as parents in Ridgetown are arming themselves as well in order to fight for Ridgetown District High School
