CK Public Health is reporting two new cases of COVID-19 in Chatham-Kent today.
No new recoveries moves the “active” case count to 29.
Three workplace outbreaks and one school outbreak at Winston Churchill Public School in Chatham remain listed on the public health website. There were two cases of the virus within the school community, with one now currently “active”.
The Lambton Kent District School Board has confirmed 19 students and 13 staff members have been dismissed to quarantine after a staff member tested positive at Chatham-Kent Secondary School. Public Health continues to reach out to any staff or students who might have come in contact with the virus. The school remains open, and students who’ve been sent home are continuing their classes by remote learning.
Tilbury District High School also has one positive case affecting a student.
In the St. Clair Catholic District School Board, two cases are currently affecting members of the student body with one class currently cancelled. All schools remain open
The municipal numbers sit at 484 total cases, 452 recoveries and three deaths.
Ontario reported 1,373 new infections and 35 deaths linked to COVID on Wednesday.
Windsor-Essex confirmed 48 new cases, with 18 in Middlesex-London. Lambton Public Health has no new cases today.
